Solution Deep Dive
Access Control & Entry Management
The facility's main entrance required a custom-designed access control solution utilizing magnetic locks on both entry doors. Due to the combined power requirements of the maglocks, DLM engineered a dedicated power supply system to ensure reliable operation while maintaining proper access control functionality and long-term system reliability. An additional side entrance intercom system was installed to improve visitor communication and staff responsiveness.
Smart Intercom Communications
The intercom system was configured to route visitor calls directly to authorized staff members' mobile devices. This allows employees to answer calls, communicate with visitors, and grant access from anywhere within the facility — without requiring personnel to remain stationed at a reception desk. The result is faster visitor response times, improved operational efficiency, and better flexibility for staff members throughout the building.
Intelligent Video Surveillance
Five outdoor PTZ cameras were strategically deployed to monitor parking lots, entrances, and exterior gathering areas. The cameras utilize intelligent motion detection and auto-tracking technology, allowing them to automatically identify, follow, and record individuals moving throughout monitored areas. This provides enhanced visibility and situational awareness while helping staff monitor activity occurring outside the building.
Business Wi-Fi & Network Infrastructure
DLM deployed four business-grade wireless access points to improve coverage and reliability throughout the facility. As part of the project, DLM performed a complete network turn-up, tested and verified existing cabling infrastructure, and optimized network performance to support daily operations. The network infrastructure was reviewed, documented, and validated to ensure reliable connectivity for staff and facility technology systems.
Guest Wi-Fi Experience
To improve the experience for residents, visitors, and family members, DLM implemented a dedicated guest Wi-Fi network completely separated from the facility's operational network. This allows guests to access the internet quickly and securely while protecting critical business and healthcare systems. DLM also designed and provided custom guest Wi-Fi signage for placement in the lobby and common areas — reducing front desk interruptions while enhancing the overall visitor experience.
Data Rack Optimization
During the project, DLM cleaned and reorganized the facility's existing data rack — including cable organization, equipment cleanup, infrastructure labeling, network validation, and connectivity testing. The result is a cleaner, more maintainable technology environment that simplifies future support and expansion.
